The medical condition which led to The Ordinary Boys cancelling their V festival appearance at the weekend has been revealed to be quinsy.
What is quinsy? Well, it's a bit like nuclear-strength tonsillitis, and pretty rare.
James Gregory had mistaken the symptoms for flu, and had he not got to hospital to have his pus drained, could have had difficulty breathing - in effect, drowning in his own pus. Which would have been a pretty unpleasant way to go by anyone's standards.
