One minute, we're trying to adjust to the idea of Mel B and Eddie Murphy, at the hub of a Hollywood nuclear family. Now, Murphy's quit and is demanding "proof" that the baby is his.
They could do that by waiting to see if the child shows a lot of early promise but then starts doing any old rubbish for the money, but a DNA test might be quicker.
Murphy snapped at a reporter asking about how things were going with the missus:
“You’re being presumptuous, because we're not together any more.
“And I don’t know whose child that is, until it comes out and has a blood test.
“You shouldn’t jump to conclusions, sir.”
Jumping to conclusions - like the woman you loved last week is a slag and probably carrying someone else's baby which she's been trying to pass off as yours - is, indeed, a terrible thing to do, Eddie.
Er... maybe they split up BECAUSE he found out the child might not be his? Maybe?
