Punkobit: Ben Aulds

The funeral took place earlier today of Ben Aulds, guitarist with a number of Brighton ska and punk bands, including Out of Luck, Jam Foundation and The Meow Meows. Amongst the many warm memories of Ben on the Meow Meow's MySpace page includes one which seems to sum up his spirit:

i will remember ben for shouting at everyone at the flaming lips and calling them cunts cos they weren't enjoying it enough

Ben was survived by his parents; they requested all mourners attended with a single flower to place on the coffin. The plan was to celebrate Ben's life with a gathering at Brighton's Hector's House venue this evening.
