Jim McCabe emails with news of Paul McCartney (and Stella and Mary's) visit to Nigel Slater's house making Linda McCartney recipes. He asks:

Am I being unduly cynical in seeing this fawning piece as the latest PR salvo ahead of the divorce case?

Cynical? Probably not - and, I suspect, there's something of a piece with McCartney's not-very-hidden messages about Linda in the new album. It's not only as if Paul is attmepting to appeal to us to take his side and forgive him the Heather adventure - it's like he's appealing to Linda, as well.
