Mick Jagger denies being tight

Jerry Hall's suggestion that Mick is close to a pound note has upset Mick. Although we understand he waited until after six o'clock to put in a call denying it:
Mick, 63, called the remarks “absurd”.

He said: “I’ve always been more than happy to pay for the children as well as the lion’s share for her lifestyle.”

It might be slightly easier to believe that Jagger isn't a grasping tightwad if his band hadn't cancelled a whole slew of tour dates to avoid them falling into the wrong tax year.

    To be fair, although I don't expect the Roilling Stones to be run in a democratic fashion (other than in the sharing of groupies), I can't see Mick's say being the be and end all.

    The band probably took advice from their manager, their accountant and Bono and the next PM before deciding that "the show must go on...in a financially prudent manner, Mr Speaker..."

    Poor Keith was probably pleading poverty after (or in anticipation of) all those medical bills.
