Embed and breakfast man: Jonsi

You'll know Jonsi - hitherto, as the singer from Sigur Ros. Now, Jonsi's going solo - and this is the first forbidden fruit:

There's a website which, as you'd expect, doesn't go into very much detail.

Free Sigur Ros

The Independent - yes, it's still going - is attempting to boost its circulation with a free Sigur Ros album this Saturday.

Now, I love Sigur Ros, and look forward to Saturday and picking up some free music from them. But... they're not exactly the band I'd be looking to in order to try and turn around the slump in the Indie's fortunes. Marx flogs Ros tix

Something to listen to

Over on Sigur Ros' MySpace at the moment, goodly chunks of their 2002 Hlemmur score to listen, and love, and stream.

First after epiphany

Christmas doesn't have to end yet, you know. On the Sigur Ros site there's an MP3 of the band taking an "obnoxious Icelandic Christmas song" to pieces, and sort of put it back together again in a more pleasing form. It beats the horrible jazz-lite version of Rudolph they were playing in Jarvis hotels over the new year.

But what were they looking for?

I think we're proud to be the number one response for sigur ros homosexual perverted on Google. I think...
