THAT PORTUGESE REHAB WORKED, THEN, PETE?

Oddly enough, despite having been unable to attend court in London this week because he was busy fighting his addiction in a Portugal rehab clinic, Pete Doherty was arrested under the influence on a flight to Sweden.

Cabin crew and passengers complained the singer, 27, had refused to take his seat and argued with stewardesses.

Police arrested him when his jet landed because "he showed signs of being under the influence of narcotics".

They carried out a blood test and let Doherty attend a gig at the festival while they waited for the results.

Doherty tested positive for coke and benzodiazepine; he was fined £1,500.

The real worry for Pete, though, is that this latest incident has barely scraped into the lower reaches of the press; his antics are starting to bore the world beyond indie. That's not good for his long-term prospects.
