Now, I've never made any secret of the fact that I like looking at pictures of attractive people in states of undress - I just don't think it's journalism.

The stories in the top ten are about sex and nudity, but they're commentary:

In order:
1. The story is about McFly stripping off to make a pop video, suggesting it's a bit desperate. No photo.
2. The legal judgement that the video filmed in the R Kelly sex case is admissible in evidence. It's a post on an ongoing case featuring one of the biggest stars of R&B. No photo.
3. This was an eyebrow raising at the News of the World's suggestion that Lily Allen "gave passengers a strip show" on the train. No photo.
4. I think you're familiar with the Heather Mills story and why it might have been worth comment. No photo.
5. Beth Ditto's naked front page for NME was one of the most interesting things to happen in indie music this year. There is, on this one, a thumbnail image of the front of the NME, too.
6. Nelly Furtado not doing a porn magazine. Yes, that's some racy content there.

Music is about sex, and you can't write about music without writing about sex.

Googling is about sex, and you can't reflect what people are googling without writing about sex.

I'm not quite sure why that's on a par with printing a picture of Paris Hilton and pretending that it's news.Simon Hayes Budgenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07084524317888577404noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1930103.post-78043893616490631022007-12-23T11:50:00.000+00:002007-12-23T11:50:00.000+00:00I just commented about hypocrisy on your post abou...I just commented about hypocrisy on your post about Harvey.

Then I saw this.

You slag off Gordon Smart for running stories about sex/naked pics then your OWN Top 10 stories are:

1. Mc Fly naked, after 18 months, finally hits the number one spot
2. R Kelly's sex video
3. Lily Allen slips out her slip
4. Heather Mills, porn and videos
5. Casey Calvert: Cause of death announced
6. Beth Ditto strips for NME
7. 2007 best of lists
8. No Nelly Furtado nude pictures for Playboy
9. RIP Dan Fogelberg
10. RIP Joaquin Tavares

Pot, kettle and black spring to mind.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
