Sheryl Crow: saving the world, one square at a time

In her latest bid to save the world, Sheryl Crow is asking us to go through life unpleasantly unable to sit down:

In a post on her official website, she urges people to "only one square per restroom visit, except, of course, on those pesky occasions where two to three could be required."

Crow doesn't give an example of an occasion where it might be acceptable to use two or three squares - we were afraid there might be examples posted on Flickr to compare and contrast - but we imagine it's a strict 'one square per flush' ratio she has in mind.

We know every little helps, but... there are just some sacrifices which make us wonder if they work. Without wanting to be too gruesome, if you're offsetting the saving on toilet paper by having to pretreat your knickers before washing, who really gains in the long run?

Is it me or does The Guardian steal stories wholesale from NRRF all the time? I've just seen this on their website, and definitely noticed them coming at other stories with similar angles to those you see on here.
