Just off the top of my head I thought I'd add Jimmy Carl Black (Mothers of Invention drummer and, more recently, Ella Guru contributor) and Davy Graham to the list of those who are sadly no longer with us. The lack of attention Graham's passing this month has received is quite sad since he was one of Britain's most influential guitarists. His version of Cry Me A River seems to be regularly pulled from the BBC archive for the sake of folk TV programmes. Lovely stuff (with some beautiful Ken Russell direction): Cry Me A River

One last one to add to the list:

November 14 2006 - December 31 2008

RIP Zune

Ahem

Paul Newman?

@cheapster
While Newman was a great loss, I couldn't think of a music connection - too busy acting, car-driving and sauce-making, probably.
