Spilling again

Something to look forward to: a new Built To Spill album is due sometime in 2009; meanwhile, Americans - at least - can look forward to an autumn tour revisiting 1997's Perfect From Now On.

Mouse, Spill, Laughter mix-up

Coming sometime next year, according to Pitchfork(who themselves read it in Billboard): an album where Modest Mouse, Built To Spill and Love As Laughter cover each other's tracks.

A Mouse spokesperson (we suspect they might be the only band in the project grand enough to have a spokesperson) says that's it's still mooted rather than definite; nobody Pitchfork spoke to in the BTS camp seemed to have heard about it. But it might still happen.

Slamdunk

It's the greatest game on the internet this side of Nev's Jambusters on the Smile website: Built To Spill are promoting new album You In Reverse by inviting you to spend time on their site, shooting hoops and listening to a stream of the new album. It's, erm, hooptastic.
