SINGING CRISPS? THAT IS NEW...

In one of the strongest examples of over excitement we've yet come across, the PR machine for Yo Sushi (the "grab your food off a conveyor belt" restaurant which pointlessly combines The Generation Game with Acres The Bakers) and EMI have announced a "world first". Which is that Yo Sushi will have music in their restaurants. Okay, that's not especially new... but the music will be delivered by iPods! Like it was something crazy like the 21st Century.

Now, I know your reaction will be the same as ours: if people are going to be using iPods while they're eating, aren't the earbuds going to be covered in grease and muck and earwax by the end of the day? But they've thought of that - the iPods will actually be used to deliver music through a speaker system.

So, in other words, erm, this world first is that the music will be digitally stored on an iPod. And we bet there's other restaurants already doing that who didn't even realise it was worth sticking out a press release.

Coming next week: Yo Sushi staff discover random play function; call London Tonight offering exclusive.

Some guy in philly was doing this as a business about 3 years ago, delivering filled ipods to local restaurants.
