Your mental image of a Belle and Sebastian recording session - chaps in cardigans sitting about reading ornithology books and eating bourbon biscuits while someone writes a song about a girl with pretty eyes on a bus - could well be unfair. According to Stuart Murdoch, it's all fighting:
