Associated Press prepares itself for Brit tragedy

It's not entirely surprising to discover that the Associated Press has been working on its Britney Spears obituary for about a month.

Well, perhaps a little surprising as to why it left it so late to get going.

Presumably it feels safe doing so now as - the way things look - even if she lives another forty years, most of the interesting stuff has already happened, and it'll just be a case of adjusting the number in the line "for the last x years of her life, Britney cut a tragic figure, lurching from ill-advised liaison to ill-advised liaison..."
