Supergroup is such an abused term, isn't it?

But never as abused as Nelly's plans:

Nelly reveals that he wants to create a supergroup with Akon, T-Pain, and Pharrell Williams. "Me, Akon, T-Pain and Pharrell are talking about doing a project. We got a host of things we're trying to do - possibly put together this new 2009 [Bell Biv DeVoe] type of thing," he tells MTV.

You wonder how thrilled Pharrell is with the idea of getting to work with Akon (and, presumably, the terrible misunderstanding involving flying young people and accidently dry-humping underage girls that seem to trail in his wake).

It's hard to say if Williams and Akon is more or less likely than, say, George Clooney and Brad Pitt appearing in Geri's movie; perhaps they could all get together to do the theme tune?

As a model. Why doesn't Diddy model his own bloody pants?

Nelly adds a Stone

Unlikely pairings of our time, number 49773: Joss Stone is dating Nelly, apparently. We just hope she hasn't commenced on the relationship using her hip-hop accent - can you imagine trying to keep that up through a marriage?

A "source" apparently told the Daily Mirror:

It's great she has met someone as successful as she is and who understands the pressures being a performer can put on your life.

Is it just us, or does that sound like Joss phoned the 3AM desk herself?

Well, that accounts for why they're desperate to punch someone

We have to say, based on the ten-most heard tracks on US radio last year, we're starting to understand just why the nation seems to be a pent-up ball of fury. If we'd have been most likely to get this lot of cack blaring at us when we got in a taxi or walked into a coffee shop, we reckon we'd be desperate to work out our frustrations by dropping missiles on people or something, too. Although maybe the HQ of Clear Channel rather than one of Saddam's palaces might be a better bet. That chart in full:

1. Nickelback - How You Remind Me
2. Puddle of Mudd - Blurry
3. Linkin Park - In the End
4. Jimmy Eat World - The Middle
5. The Calling - Wherever You Will Go
6. Vanessa Carlton - A Thousand Miles
7. Avril Lavigne - Complicated
8. Ashanti - Foolish
9. Nelly - Dilemma
10. Nelly - Hot in Herre

Talking of Nelly, if his little brother gets weekend home leave, does Nells take the plaster off?
