Avril and Chantal write songs together. Nothing unusual in that, you might think, but curiously, "I'm in charge of my music and my life" Lavigne simpers "We had so much fun because I didn't tell my manager or record company." Which sort of makes all those claims about having autonomy over what she does seem a little odd - why not just say "Mom, Dad, Head of A&R, I'm going out to write some folk tunes." Curious.
