HOLD TIGHT: Plans for a Spice Girls best of have been put on ice, because Mel C won't do a gig to promote it, and the label won't invest in the album unless there's a big concert to flog on as a DVD title later. They've now rescheduled the collection for 2006, by which time it'll be the tenth anniversary, and they figure Mel C will have realised she's never going to sell another single under her own name.



Because, of course, leaking the "she'll be back on her knees begging us" story to the press is exactly the right way to persuade Sporty Spice back into the fold.
