UN-BIS-DANDED: Talking of rock myths (as the Observer was the other day), one of our favourites is that Bis are meant to be the first unsigned band ever to play Top of the Pops. Or the first band to play Top of the Pops before they released a single.



Now, though, the band are back. Older, wiser, and presumably slightly less likely to be linked to wearing teddy bear back packs - in fact, says Manda Rin, nu-Bis will be "a harder, stronger Bis with a drummer". Still going to be doing 7" vinyl singles, mind.
