Apparently they're just as good as the ones that made the final cut. This seems to be either a desperate stopgap measure while they sort out the Pete fiasco, or else a flag of surrender being run up to announce that, no, without Pete, they don't have much else to offer. What's funny is that talking to the nme, Carl called it a 'bastard' album; by the time Ananova had pickedup the story, it's become an "illegitmate" album.
