7,500: Well, reaching post number 7,500 probably indicates that I've got way, way too much time on my hands or something - or else that Blogger has reposted the same introductory post over and over again. I just wanted to take a Mike Yarwood moment to step out from behind being mean to Hilary Duff to thank everyone who takes time to read No Rock, whether here or through newsreaders; and to say an even bigger thanks to those of you who take the time and trouble to post comments or email with reactions or suggestions. I love you all - even the Transvision Vamp fans. Yes, even you.

No Rock is a beautiful thing, providing much needed relief to the constant "fuckin' 'ell, is it just me or..." atmosphere that today's music (PR) industry creates. Like a musical Private Eye, if it was a magazine I'd happily shell out for it. Five years in the industry has made me a jaded old man - it's good to know I'm not the only one. Keep on No Rockin'... Well, I've only been lurking for the last thousand or so of those, but you're the second thing I read every evening when I stagger home from work, after my e-mail (neither of which the arsey IT people permit access to at work). So, as I believe the young people say these days, keep on rockin'.

Well, you know already how much we love No Rock. And how we wouldn't be doing ACME if there weren't XRRF, just banging on about Bush. Hang on, we probably should be doing that. Anyway, happy "birthday" and let's see world domination before post 10,000.

No, you're not just shouting into the abyss, there are plenty of us music lovers out here thinking "is it just me?" and NR&RF is a brilliant reality check. Congrats & keep the faith!

I love being able to get all of the interesting music news presented to me each evening in an intelligent and thoughtful way, fantastic work. you deserve a medal just for bringing to my attention fred durst's blog!

you really should consider starting a magazine! it'd be lovely to have an interesting piece of music literature to read each month.
