But after that, he loves talking about Robbie Williams, and then doing things to make people look at Robbie Williams. Which is why it's a bit odd that he should have over-reacted so astonishingly when Dennis Stone tried to take a picture of him at Heathrow Airport. One of the gentler, more respectful generation of celeb snappers - more Life than Heat - Stone claims that Williams told him he could pay to have someone break the photographer's legs.

Of course, there have been rushes to deny the story: "friends of Robbie" saying that he actually said to Stone "If your editor told you to break my legs, would you do it?", which is such an obviously unlikely thing for someone to say they might as well claim that he said "I am a goat with no hamsters" or something. In fact, it's quite incredible that having threatened a 72 year old man, they then attempt to call him a liar and hard of hearing into the bargain. What a piece of work.
