PETE TOWNSHEND AND YOUNG BOYS TO PROMOTE INTERNET DOWNLOADS
We're not sure who came up with the idea of getting The Who to record with McFly to push this new HMV download store, but we did wonder why they think that Pete Townshend is the best choice, what with his history of filling his hard-drive with dodgy material. The two bands have re-recorded My Generation to demonstrate that every man has a price, and it's not that high these days ("to promote the service which goes live next Monday").
Meanwhile, and there's nothing cartelly about Virgin launching at virtually the same time - we're sure their prices will be totally different, Richard Branson has also come up with a lame stunt. He's going to appearing in virtual form:
"Seeing as Virgin is going digital, I thought I'd do the same."
Yeah, we couldn't be arsed to turn up, either, Branno.

Erm... Third of Never, two things:
First, your Caps lock button seems to be sticking
Second, Pete Townshend accepted a police caution, which is an admission of guilt. Possession of indecent images of children is still illegal, even if you do it with "pure" motives, as it seems Townshend had when he set out. I'm not sure where you think the misinformation is in this post, although I will allow that he never actually filled his hard drive.
Or perhaps you should send Pete an email telling him to get his facts straight, too:
"Mr Townshend also released a statement, which said: "I accept that I was wrong to access this site, and that by doing so, I broke the law."
But he insisted police had "unconditionally accepted" his explanation that he had looked at the site as research for his "campaign" against child pornography."
