CAN WE START AGAIN, ASKS SPECTOR DEFENCE

The defence team who are trying to get Phil Spector set free on the murder charges have decided that their man's blurting out "I didn't mean to shoot her" to the police on the night has kind of given the other side a bit of a start before the case opens in court, so they''re asking the judge if they could just all pretend he never said it? "He was off his trolley on prescription drugs" seems to be their explanation, although they also suggest that it's not fair because this was an illegally obtained confession. What with Spector blurting it out, and all.

Meanwhile, if Spector is found not guilty, he's going to go one better than Michael Jackson and release his doves from his own hair. As he takes his seat in court, he hopes that people might not notice that he's prepared the doves of acquital already.
