YOU HAVE BESTED ME NOW, DISINTERESTED PUBLIC, BUT I SHALL BE BACK

Of course, with Jenny Frost's solo single barely limping into the Top 50, Lisa Scott-Lee might feel that her number thirteen chart position isn't that bad. Or it wouldn't be, if she hadn't had a six week vanity series to promote it, and had basically begged people to buy multiple downloads to try and make it past the magic Top Ten cut-off point.

In the past, of course, someone's word would be their bond, and if they'd failed in such a spectacular and public fashion, they'd head off to live outside the village. This is the 21st century, of course, so that's not going to happen, and her manager Nathan Moore has already started plotting the comeback. Yes, Nathan Moore out of Brother Beyond:

As Lisa's manager, i am determined 2 get Lisa back to where she belongs, we start with japan, australia, south africa and eventually we will look at the uk again! But after a long break (from the uk).

I'm 200% behide Lisa and will do everything i can to get Lisa back to where she belongs.

We will be making a album to release outside the UK but be sure fans will be able to get this by the net or via the web site (we need to look into this).

Nathan.

It's not quite sure what the rest of the world has done to deserve this punishment - rumours that the Japanese government are invoking emergency plans to evacuate the entire country should the threat of a Lisa Scott-Lee comeback become any more solid.

You start to see the problems Lisa was climbing, though, when her manager makes promises like a 200% effort - what with that being impossible and all. We also note that the pledge is to get Lisa back where she belongs, without actually specifying where he thinks that might be. We have heard that preparations are already in hand, though:

And we love the grandad-goes-to-PC-world uncertain sign-off about how the idea of selling an album over the net might work. Unless, of course, Lisa has signed a contract which would make that impossible?
