SAD CENT

50 Cent is apparently "sad" about the person who got shot to death in the cinema showing his "aren't guns brilliant" flick Get Rich or Shoot Something:

"I feel for the victim's family in this situation," he said on US television. "But you know, these weren't kids. This was a 30-year-old man [who] had a dispute with three other guys."

Oh... right. Perhaps Cent could let us know the cut-off age for thinking that the death of anyone shot over a pointless argument is a tragic waste and just a shruggable 'he's a man, he knew what he was doing' moment. 21? 18? 16? Ten, providing it can be demonstrated the dead kid knew the difference between right and wrong?

Or is Cent really trying to suggest that people who are old enough to not get carded when they try to buy alcohol really aren't likely to be influenced by dinkheads who make films and songs about how really cool it is to shoot stuff? Like it says in the Bible, perhaps: When I was a child, I thought as a child, but now I shall no longer be interested in the idea that guns and cash are part of a successful lifestyle and carrying one makes me look cool."

As if it's ok for people to shoot someone in a theatre as long as they're over 18? Give me a break! Could this guy be more of a self-absorbed ass?

You guys missed the point. What Forty Pence (as he's known on this side of the "Pond") really meant was:

"Didn't my film teach that sucka how to survive getting shot? Did my life's lesson not get through to that ignorant son-of-a-bitch? And can in-corp-o-rate that incident into a song before Eminem does?"

Forty should be lucky that the victim didn't survive and go on to be a highly successful rapper, produced by The Game, thus continuing the rapidly declining hiphop lineage.

Simon, during your obvious copious spare time, could you produce an organogram, please, showing who in the hiphop community has shot/got married to/sung a song about someone else? Or would it resemble a plate of carbonara and be no use at all? I feel sure the University of Leicester is running a BA (Hons) course which would find this very useful.

Forty pence! Ha ha ha ha ha!

I agree with 50 cent these were adults here I don't think anyone should blame the film for this guy getting shot to death.
