THE NEXT FRANZ IS PREPARED
Having had a bit of a songwriting splurge, Franz Ferdinand have piled up an album's worth of new material, and Alex Kapranos describes the new stuff as "grander" (i.e., they'll be wearing dinner jackets in the videos):
"They are a lot grander - less spiky. I've been listening to Kanye West and Amerie's 1 Thing. That's what some of the new stuff is sounding like."
