THE SUNDAY PETE-HOLE
It wouldn't be a weekend without someone reporting back from the end of the world, and it falls to the People to bring us the latest news of Pete Doherty's collapse from bright young thing to selfish horrorsack.
Driving like a dick on methadone.
The paper's got a witness:
"I saw Pete go into the chemist's and there was a definite change in his behaviour after he came out.
"He is an absolute menace. How he has still got his licence is beyond me."
But the onlooker added: "I don't think he was so out of it that he didn't know what he was doing. When he spotted two police officers on horseback he calmed down and drove properly before going back to being a madman."

so what? yes, ex heroin addicts take methodone, and yes it influences their behavior....
Perhaps you've missed the point here, which is not so much that Pete is taking methadone (although that's prescribed to stop craving for heroin - wasn't that the purpose of his famous implants?) but he's driving while under the influence of it.
