UNPOP NOT POP

News reaches us of Brighton club night Unpop entering the blogging business. They stuff their bloggy pockets full of music, noise and pop gone wrong related matters. Obviously, we reckon it's worth looking at otherwise we wouldn't mention it.

YOU SAY YOU HAVE TALENT, BUT ARE YOU REALLY READY?

There is one common fact in the music business and it is this: There are no guarantees and no rules. Once you realize this, it will allow you to put together a real plan of action toward achieving your music recording dreams. Here are a few points that are helpful for aspiring artists. Let's start from the outside in.

Labels receive hundreds of unsolicited demos everyday, so how do you get them to open and ultimately listen to yours? Well, a large percentage of it has to do with the 5 W?s (who, what, when, where and why):
1. Whom do you know in the business?
2. What is your product?
3. When-timing
4. Where-are you physically visible; can someone find you?
5. Why should they listen to your product?

These are all questions you have to be able to answer before you can even begin to think you will have a chance of getting on in the music business.........FOR MORE INFO VISIT WWW.MARIONSMUSIC.BLOGSPOT.COM
