People who know about these things have been in touch with us to let us know that Primal Scream's new album has popped up out in the wilds of the internet. You, of course, will want to wait, but it's interesting to know its out there, isn't it?

It's also rather crap. After making innovative yet low-selling albums, they've gone back to knocking out the sort of sub-Stones/Johnny Thunders stuff that Jet would blush at, presumably to keep Sony happy, like they did at the Astoria last month: After playing Country Girl and Rocks early on in the set, they came back on and played them again as the encore because bosses had told them to play the new single nearer the end of the set as they'd be turning up late. - Elvis
