Overthrowing The Status Quo
It was one of the happier endings in pop music: Rick Parfitt divorced his wife, Patty. Then they got back together again.
Only, then the happy ending threw back to being unhappy, as Parfitt has now got married to another woman. The Sunday Mirror disapproves:
Speaking from his foreign love-nest last night, Rick told the Sunday Mirror: "We're just chilling out."
It's in the use of the word "foreign" that you can hear their clucking tongues. Bad enough that a man dump his partner, but far worse if he leaves his country to do so.
