The dream is over

We're trying to be strong... but it's so hard to go on. How can we continue with a song on our lips and a smile on our big, goofy faces knowing that the fabulous friendship of Elton John and Victoria Beckham has run into trouble?

One source said: “Elton has always been so generous to Victoria and David in the past. But sometimes it’s easy to feel like people are taking things for granted. The Beckhams stay at his house in France all the time and have his staff running around after them. Which is baffling — they have their own house nearby.

“They haven’t had any row — they’ve just grown apart as friends.”

Nothing, of course, to do with Victoria positioning herself at the side of more-famous Cult dupes Tom Cruise and that woman he married who used to be on the telly.

Maybe we should send Elton some flowers or something. To cheer him up, of course.
