Do try and keep up, Sue Carroll

The Mirror's Sue Carroll isn't happy with the police:

PETE Doherty has been charged with four driving offences. Good to see the police not bothering with anything trivial then. Like suspected drug abuse.

Leaving aside the question of if driving without insurance or a licence is more or less of a danger to the soft heads of everybody Sue Carroll holds dear, she seems to have missed that, erm, Pete Doherty has been arrested numerous times for drug use, is currently undergoing a court-imposed testing regime which hasn't found any evidence that he's using, and that the police who stopped the car did charge the two passengers with suspected drug abuse - so, clearly, if there'd been any reason to charge Doherty with drug offences on this occasion, there'd have been charges. Unless Sue is outraged that Doherty isn't being charged under the 1835 "Being talked-about in the tabloids for possibly doing a drug deal in Thailand and oh, that cameraphone footage which was in the Sun" Act.
