Wham! re-cap
The Mirror is reporting an "exclusive" story about a Wham! reunion. This is, of course, a completely different exclusive from the story when it appeared in the News of the World.
Admittedly, the completely unsubstantiated story is now slightly fattened up, with the suggestion that the reunion which may or may not happen could, perhaps, include dates at Wembley. They even have a quote - from a source, rather than a spokesperson:
A source at the 90,000-seat stadium, finally due to be completed by summer, said yesterday: "It would be a fantastic gig.
"They're still very popular and we think they would fill Wembley out."
"They're still very popular and we think they would fill Wembley out."
That's quite some way from "yes, we had George on the phone yesterday talking about possible dates and double-checking we're actually going to open and this isn't all some sort of post-modern joke of a building project, like the Liverpool ring road or that tower to reach heaven."
