I beg your pardon, they've not promised you a Roses hard-on

It's being pitched as a Stone Roses reunion, but it falls a little way short of that. Even so, gentlemen and ladies of a certain age will be interested, if a little scared, to hear that Ian Brown and Mani are going to join Echo and The Bunnymen on stage at this week's Manchester cancer charity gig:

Andy Rourke has told Music Week that: "Both Mani and Hooky are going to be doing something with Echo and the Bunnymen, Mani's going to be doing something with Ian Brown, and the grand finale's going to be quite special."

Well... maybe the finale will be a promised Roses reunion. But we can't quite see it.
