Apple push for DRM drop

The long, slow death of DRM - at least as far as music is concerned - offers another rattle as Steve Jobs opens negotiations with the majors for a higher quality, higher price point on iTunes - but without any restrictions on file use. Of course, the real downside of this would be it would mean consumers being stung even more simply to get a file which behaves as it should do, but to persuade the labels to do anything, you have to throw money at them.
