Songwriter shot by handyman
Songwriter and producer Fabio Alonso Salgado was critically wounded in a shooting at his LA home on Friday. Salgado - who has worked with nearly every crossover Latin pop star including Gloria Estefan, Paula Rubino, Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, Shakira, Ricky Martin, Enrique Iglesias and Julio Iglesias - was believed to have been attacked by a long-serving employee. Francisco Oliveira was said by police to have been delivering blow to Salgado when he shot him in the back of the head; although the injuries were near-fatal, the songwriter was able to tell police what had happened to him.
A seven-times winner of the BMI Latin Songwriter of the Year, Salgado - who was widely known as Estefano - released his first solo work as a singer in 2005.

MIAMI — A Latin songwriter said he begged for his life before his handyman shot and critically wounded him at his waterfront mansion, according to court documents.
Francisco Oliveira, 29, was charged with first-degree attempted murder in the May 25 shooting of Fabio Alonso Salgado, also known as Estefano. Police said Oliveira had worked for Salgado for five years and was delivering marijuana to him.
"I continued to beg for my life. He proceeded to kick me. He then put the gun behind my right ear and shot me in my head," Salgado said in a witness statement obtained by The Miami Herald.
The two men were sitting in the kitchen just before the shooting, Salgado said.
"I asked Francisco Oliveira if he was OK, because he seemed nervous to me. At that point in time, Francisco Oliveira reached into his backpack and removed a handgun," the statement said. 'He then asked me in Portuguese, `Do you know what this is?' He then pointed the gun at me and shot me in the chest."
Oliveira told Salgado to kneel and put the gun's barrel behind the songwriter's right ear and squeezed off one round, the statement said.
Salgado told authorities he later regained consciousness and called his business manager.
Salgado, who has worked with such Latin music stars as Gloria Estefan, Marc Anthony, Shakira, Ricky Martin and Jennifer Lopez, is still recovering from his injuries but has been released from the hospital.
Oliveira has entered a written plea of not guilty. A trial date is set for Nov. 5. He is being held without bond, said Miami-Dade County jail spokeswoman Janelle Hall.
The name of Oliveira's attorney was not immediately known. Salgado's home telephone number was not listed.
Anonymous - besides not having the ability to provide the detail from court proceedings which hadn't happened at the time of this post, I'm not quite sure what "facts" I'm supposed to not have straight here: indeed, I can't see any of the detail in the piece which isn't duplicated in yours, making your aggressive opening even more puzzling.

La verdad no estoy segura de que en algún momento te llegue este mensaje, pero dicen por ahí que si uno persevera, finalmente triunfa.
Quiero contarte que he tratado de hallar información acerca de ti, y lo último que encontré fue una nota en el Miami Herald en el mes de febrero, la cual hablaba de que las próximas declaraciones en tu caso, serían en abril-mayo del 2008 ( O sea en estos meses venideros).
Así que aquí estoy escribiendo y dejando mensajes en el cibermundo, y por todas partes, a ver si algún día te llegan...
El día que te agredieron, fue muy duro y dificil para mi, pues estaba en mi trabajo frente a la computadora, y cuando leí la noticia, comencé a llorar. Sentí que un frío horrible me corría por el cuerpo. Algo así como si me hubieran clavado una estaca de hielo en el alma.
