Doherty solo gig announced; axed

Pete Doherty's living up to the stereotype: today, in fairly short measure, a solo gig at the Reading Fez was announced, and then cancelled. Unforeseen circumstances, apparently.

Oh what a great loss to his adoring public. Unforseen curcumstances. Wot? Too out of it? Needs to score? Got to pick up his methadone script? Spent his cab fare to Reading on a bag? Needs the time to go to rehab? Maybe i Pete could plan his next gig at Reading jail?
