Bob Mould tour dates for May:
23 - Glasgow ABC
24 - Manchester Academy 2
26 - Birmingham Academy 2
27 - London KOKO
Perhaps surprisingly intimate venues (by which we mean small, but we didn't want to rub it in) for an artist of his reputation?

I think he errs on the side of caution with regard to venue size and number of dates. Mould retains the DIY mindset that typified Husker Du and the rest of the SST bands, and so any unsold capacity comes more or less directly out of his pocket.
Still, nice to see the miserable old git back on these shores, albeit briefly and miles away from where I am.
those are actually pretty big venues considering his reputation ("the singer out of husker du" doesn't sell tickets, as much as it should). and yeah, as "olive" said, it's better to err on the side of caution
