The Clash want your cash
After having spent the summer watching John 'I never did' Lydon trying to flog Sex Pistols DVDs, it's almost something of a relief to know that the focus of the not-punk-anymore market is shifting to The Clash this autumn: the 1982 Shea Stadium gig - where they supported The Who - is out on CD in October; accompanied by a DVD which we're apparently forced to describe as a career-spanning retrospective and - leading it all off - an official biography.

Car Jammin', The Leader, Rudie Can't Fail, Protex Blue. Feck me, they aren't without a few good songs.

I still think they're a hideously overrated band, but you've got to give credit where it's due. Actually 'Rock The Casbah's not that good anyway, apart from the riff.

Yes, yes, but apart from Rock The Casbah, White Riot, Car Jammin', The Leader, Rudie Can't Fail, Protex Blue, I'm So Bored With The USA, London Calling, White Man In Hammersmith Palais and Train In Vain, what has Mick Jones ever done for us?
