This interview is also over

Symapthy in the other direction, though, when Ray Davies hung up on a George Lamb interview live on 6Music. Davies, it seems, didn't feel it worth his time answering questions like "are you bald", for some reason.

I dont listen to George Lamb, I dont actually listen to 6 music anymore because of George Lamb, I perhaps would have if I had known he was interviewing Ray Davies, I have a feeling George Lamb has the Kinks best of and thats where it starts and ends for him. Nothing wrong with that, but perhaps if he was really interested in the artists music that he interviews he wouldnt ask these stupid and vapid questions.

Oh god that's the most fabulous thing I've heard in ages. It goes without saying that Davies is a (cantankerous) genius and Lamb a pathetic baboon, so it's always nice to hear of yet another gaff by the man who has single handedly made 6Music unlistenable during the day.

That's a bit generous, isn't it? My guess was that he'd maybe heard the first few bars of 'You Really Got Me' before skipping forward to Kasabian on one of those 'Cigarettes and Alcohol' compilations.

That's even more generous. I can't believe anyone could suggest that radio presenters like Lamb actually listen to anything except the sound of their own voice.
