Daily Mail: Accuracy is everything

Vic Reeves spends some time chatting with the Daily Mail, and naturally, the conversation moves onto his former mentor Jonathan Ross. Naturally, it's a difficult subject, and so Reeves is careful to choose his words:

'Jonathan can't control himself sometimes,' he says. 'Picking on people is not my sort of humour, but I think there's quite a lot of it around. We're slowly turning into a nation of bullies; manners have gone out of the window.'

However, that's not going to work as a headline, is it? Let's hope that can be extrapolated:
Jonathan Ross is just a bully... We are quickly becoming a nation of bad-mannered bullies, says Vic Reeves

Did Reeves actually say Ross was "just a bully"? Because surely, if he did, that would be worthy of a direct quote, wouldn't it?
