Michael Jackson: It's not like it's his death mask

This morning's News Of The World claims that Jacko's former bodyguard is trying to sell Jackson's facemask for £100,000.

Apparently, this is "callous", whereas all the other bits of cashing-in on the corpse are merely exciting and laudable examples of capitalism in action.

It is pretty scandalous, though: a hundred grand? If the story had been about rip-off pricing, maybe there'd be a story there.

Naturally, this is a tale bylined Mazher Mahmood - popularly known as the "fake sheik", the man who bought you the story of the Victoria Beckham kidnap. And that supposed purchasing of a dirty bomb where the trial collapsed. Perhaps he's being a bit more careful now that his editor at the time of those stories, Andy Coulson, is off running David Cameron's press office. Perhaps.
