Gordon in the morning: Shameless plug
Is Gordon Smart being paid by Guy Ritchie's film company, or is the fawning being done for free? Today, the second story in Bizarre is tied to a photo of Nicola Roberts wearing a mac:
NICOLA ROBERTS looks like she has been taking style tips from Sherlock Holmes.
NB: Holmes didn't wear a mac. Roberts isn't wearing a deerstalker hat or smoking a pipe.
The GIRLS ALOUD star left her hotel in London's Mayfair in a tweed coat and leather gloves that wouldn't look out of place on the famous detective.
Hang about... Sherlock Holmes... haven't we heard about him recently?
Perhaps she is getting excited about the new Sherlock Holmes film from GUY RITCHIE, which hits cinemas on Boxing Day.
Boxing Day? That's twenty-four lame attempts to crowbar a reference to the dreadful film to go, then.

Of course, he didn't wear a deerstalker either but I'm not expecting Smart to be pointing that one out any time soon. Actually, I suppose, if he has got to fill 24 more days of this then you never know...
I'm not sure why I clicked on the link but I did and I've always wondered how many times you can get Sherlock Holmes references into a 75 word column. Apparently the answer is far too many times.
The reference to the Sherlock Holmes film was pitiful, but I have to say she looks rather groovy. And at least Smart managed to avoid the "Nicola Roberts hasn't got her tits out! Burn the witch!" story which he usually goes for.
