The XX: they'll tell us what to do
For reasons that are as unclear as they are welcome, Newsnight's election special at 6.30 tonight is going to feature a live performance from The XX.
Possibly they had to be promised junior ministerships at the Treasury to secure the booking.

I'm assuming it's because they were used as backing music for the BBC's election adverts. I'm not sure if they were picked because of the whole putting a cross in a box part of democracy.
That all might explain that one of the common reasons for people spoiling their ballot paper was voting twice.
Oh! Yes, election music - that makes sense.
