Huey and cry
Huey Morgan's snide twitterage aimed at Lauren Laverne was well-documented yesterday. Obviously, the gentle riposte from Laverne pointing out that, in effect, far from not programming her 6Music show, it's actually more that Morgan isn't trusted or thought capable of putting together a daytime show was a highlight, but this is the bit where Morgan really stepped over the line:
Fuck that shit. Kenickie? Please.Really, Morgan? You're going there? Appealing that the Fun Loving Criminals somehow outranks Kenickie in terms of quality?
You're suggesting that, on some sort of scale in your head, Scooby Snacks is better than Punka?
Pfffft.

That's actually being quite generous - Scooby Snacks is probably the best of their work*. Even if they put their minds to it, Kenickie couldn't put out a stinker like Korean Bodega.
* And the more I think about it, the worse it gets. Clips of Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs, FFS! What was that, some sort of Obvious Student Culture Bingo? They might as well have used a Trainspotting poster for the cover, included a verse about how nobody ever washes up the potato masher and be done with it.
Kenickie were great, but sadly the best thing Laverne ever did. She's teeth-grindingly awful on TV. Marginally better on the radio. That said, Huey does a pet show on TV doesn't he? His co-host is a dog called Wilf.
of late its back to tallest midget, but for huey to diss Kenickie, thats a step too far.
