FALLING OFF A CLIFF: Using the Tony Blackburn stunt this week as a hook for the hanging thereof, The Sunday Times frets way, way too much about why it is that Cliff Richard went from being The British Elvis to being the Thora Hird of Pop. Only without the love. Here's a clue: he went from making Devil Woman to setting the Lord's Prayer to the tune of Auld Lang Syne. There's no mystery; he turned into a born again bore.
