A DANGEROUS PRECEDENT: It's not unusual - especially at a festive time - for an artist to turn up too sloshed to entertain. So, You Am I's Tim Roger's drunken screw-up at Tasmania's Falls Festival isn't in itself unusual - he crashed to the ground trying to hug Missy Higgins; he tried to beat the crap out of his own guitarist onstage and had to be "helped" off.

What is difference, though, is - waking up in a pool of vomit and regret - rather than chortling "Rook and Rawl!" and high-fiving, Rogers posted a full apology:

"I'm sorry from the bottom of my rotten gut to people who were disappointed," he said.

"I love this band and the people who've given us a go. I don't want my daughter to see me as a fuck up and so I promise to her to get it together."
