COLLINS ON COLLINS: Andrew Collins has been talking about Edwyn Collins - still no better, unfortunately - and how he might have mistaken the early symptoms of the brain haemorrhage. EC had been due on Roundtable the Friday before last:

'In the middle of last week,Edwyn told me he wouldn't be able to come on to the show because he was very unwell.

'He said he had been feeling dizzy and complained that the room had been spinning. He was being sick, all of which he put down to food poisoning.

'Looking back, it was obviously an early warning sign. But he got back in touch to say he felt better and came on the show. He was in sparkling form as always and seemed fine. He was chatting about new releases.'
