THANKS FOR THIS ONE, TOO, BOB

You might read elsewhere that the Pink Floyd which has come together in the interests of selling as many copies of the 30th anniversary special editions of Wish You Were Here ("of helping end world poverty and Live 8") is the classic line-up; it isn't, of course, it's just Roger Waters, Dave Gilmour, Nick Mason and Rick Wright - no Syd Barrett, then. Perhaps for the next Live Aid anniversary.

Meanwhile, we're starting to wonder just who these black artists Bob says he approached and invited to take part actually are. Estelle, for example, has been part of the Make Poverty History campaign, and yet Bob hadn't called her. Who, Bob, had you asked, when all these musicians told you they were too busy?

Isn't that a bit like saying it wasn't the proper Beatles without Pete Best?

Dark Side of the Moon? Damp Side of the Bed, more like.
