LIVE 8: NOT ABOUT THE CAREER AT ALL

On Saturday, Razorlight were telling the Guardian that this wasn't about them at all, oh no.

We're sure it was just a total coincidence that their record company happened to be scheduling adverts for the album on prime time television yesterday evening, then, and nothing cynical there at all.

Joss Stone, Razorlight, The Killers and another I can't remember all advertised albums during four weddings and a funeral on channel 4 last night

Mariah Carey at L8, who I'd never heard of before (old fart), made me sick.. She 'rented all those nice little Africans' and didn't even give them a mic.. perhaps she was concerned that they would easily outperform her?

Live8 bingo! Take a list of everyone who appeared, cross off each one whenever you see an advert for their latest album on TV in peak hours, and the first to cross them all off wins a rebuke from Geldof for profiting from the poorest people in the world or being electronic pimps or something.

Just flicking through the music TV channels at about half six this morning, a Mariah Scary video was on most of them. Must ... buy ... Mariah ... product ...
